It’s not every day that you get to meet a professional athlete in the Hudson Valley, let alone a Premier League champion such as Christian Fuchs of Leicester City Football Club (LCFC). With that in mind, we at Hudson Sports Complex (HSC) wanted to create a fun and casual day so local fans could do just this: meet our head Fox, Christian, while also enjoying educational ‘clinic-style’ sessions on the soccer pitch…and boy, did parents and kids alike have a blast!
It was a beautiful day in the HSC neighborhood Saturday, May 18th as over 100 local parents and kids gathered to have a fun evening with Christian and the HSC staff in Warwick, NY!
As an added bonus, our newest mascot, ‘Henry The Fox’, made an appearance to say hello and greet the kids before they made their way on to the soccer fields for some fun activities.
The HSC and Fox Soccer Academy (FSA) team members prepared several areas of play so all the kids could receive some tactical guidance from our professional soccer coaches while also getting to step on to the pitch with Christian himself!
Besides battling one-on-one with a Premier League player, the children had a wonderful time actually speaking with Christian, getting his autograph, and of course, taking some selfies! Finally, to really put the day on another level, each and every child got to wear the authentic Premier League Championship Medal and get their picture taken!
The fields were full of energy, laughter, and smiles which made for a delightful night that we will never forget. We thank all of the parents and children who enjoyed this evening with us, and we hope to have another unforgettable day together on June 1st during our official Grand Opening!
