With over 100 players ranging from U8-U18, the first tryouts for FSA PREMIER were definitely a success here at HSC! From 9AM all the way to 3PM, the energy level was top-notch and the excitement was at record levels!
It was a beautiful day for some soccer and you could tell the players were ready to show off their skills. The sun was bright and the talent was shining on the turf fields as kids from across the Hudson Valley, NYC, and even Long Island came to play! Michael Holzer, Program Director, and several other Fox Soccer Academy coaches, put the youth players to the test while having a ton of fun.
The players were asked to complete a series of different drills throughout the day. The coaches focused on many different fundamentals including ball control, passing, movement without the ball, 1v1s, and actual games.
Michael Holzer knows this is just the beginning and is looking forward to the coming weeks. Coach Holzer stated, "I am very proud with the turnout and level of play. I expect a lot of players for round two of our tryouts especially since Christian Fuchs will be here and there will be more buzz around what we are building."
