We are so excited for what the Fall has in store for us as we have many upcoming plans, programs, and events! One event we are especially looking forward to is a 5K run in association with Beautiful People on November 10th! We continue to enjoy a wonderful relationship with Beautiful People and are so proud to co-host their Fall Fun Run fundraising event here at Wickham Woodlands Town Park that surrounds our Campus! This event is perfect for anyone looking to enjoy some exercise for a great cause! If you don't feel comfortable running, not to worry...you are welcome to walk this course or participate in a shorter 1K as well!
In case you are not familiar with our friends at Beautiful People, they are a non-profit organization based in Warwick, NY specializing in adaptive sports. Their mission is to build bridges between those with disabilities and their families and the broader community of Orange County by providing adaptive sports programs for children and young adults. Yearly programs include soccer, baseball, basketball, cheerleading, and more!
We've had the privilege of getting to know and work with Beautiful People's staff and all the families who benefit from their dedication over the past several months. Jan Brunkhorst, Holly Borzacchiello, Mary Williams, and countless others have developed this organization into an integral part of our community and continue to be an inspiration for all of us at HSC. This 5K run is just another example of their commitment to bring the community together and fulfill their mission of providing sporting opportunities for all.
