About
Unlock the Secrets of Mid-Orange Correctional Facility
Before it held inmates, this place held promise. The schoolhouse — built under the vision of Eleanor Roosevelt — once served as a place for troubled boys, echoing with strict lessons and second chances. Decades later, the grounds became the infamous Mid-Orange Correctional Facility, a medium-security prison where thousands of men once lived behind bars.
This October, join us for a guided tour through eerie cell blocks, the full mess hall, the Roosevelt-built schoolhouse, and the hidden back of the property. You’ll hear the history, ask questions, and walk where others once walked.
Some say the silence of the old prison cells is just the past whispering. Others think the old souls never left.
You won’t be on your own. But in the dark… it might feel that way.
